Granite Worktops

All of our granite worktops are made from premium grade granite slabs purchased directly from quarries around the world to ensure that we have a wide range to suit all tastes. The thickness of our granite worktops are 30mm whilst the granite splashbacks and granite upstands are 20mm. The processing of our granite worktops are completed from our state of the art automated factory in Bedfordshire. All cutting, polishing and sealing of granite worktops are completed in the factory and not in your home unlike some companies. Our templating and installation teams are of the highest caliber, many of which are second and third generation masons to ensure that our customers expectations are well and truly met.

We offer our customers a choice of both float glass worktops and low iron glass worktops to suit everyone's budget. Float glass worktops are slightly less in cost compared to low iron glass worktops. Low iron glass contains less iron in the glass make up as the name hints which prevents the profile of the glass giving of a greenish tint. The thickness of our glass worktops are 19mm as a standard where as the thickness of our glass splashbacks and glass upstands are 6mm, providing a sleek and stylish finish. All our our glass worktops are produced right here in the UK and fitted by our own team members to ensure a perfect finish. All glass worktops and glass splashbacks are super heated to over 700 degrees to toughen them prior to installation and all edges are polished to an exceptionally high standard.

Quartz worktops are probably the most durable worktops available on the market today, for years only the big 4 quartz companies (Zodiaq, Caeserstone, Silestone and Luxor) have enjoyed the lion's share of sales in the UK market. Quartz is made in a similar way to MDF, quartz stone is ground down and mixed with a resin and allowed to dry to produce a very hard wearing surface. The quality of the resin and the machinery used however has a dramatic effect on the end product. Leading the way is an Italian company called Breton Spa, their machines and resin is probably the only type that makes the the quartz worktops completely non porous (which means that they will not stain) built into the resin is a UV filter which prevents the quartz worktops being bleached by natural sunlight. As the machines making the quartz are computer controlled each slab produced is 99.99% identical to all other quartz worktop slabs produced. To make sure that our customer's enjoy the same quality as the big 4 companies we have partnered ourselves with a quartz producing company overseas that use a Breton Spa machine. As we are top of the food chain so to speak we now have the lowest cost Breton Spa quality quartz worktops in the UK. In fact if you place your order with us and you find a cheaper quote for Breton Spa quality quartz worktops elsewhere we will match their offer. Please be aware that if you purchase quartz worktops from a company that does not use the Breton Spa process your worktops will stain and will fade with sunlight.

In order to meet the demands of our customers we have now introduced a one stop installation service where we cut and polish quartz worktops on site. By doing this we are able to greatly reduce the cost to our customers and also speed up the process.
